Gesprek met een van onze klasgenoten en Teana (docent)

It’s better to reframe yourself instead of you environment.
The question ‘What is it like to own a business in this neighbourhood?’ has some sort of judgement to it. You could instead ask about the history of the shop and how people feel about the changes that are going to happen in the future.
You shouldn’t focus as much on the results of your intervention, but focus on your interest in a certain subject. Why it is that you want to know more about something? Go along with the information you get and don’t stick to a script or plan you made beforehand. Let your research form organically.
Be transparent in your research. Document how you feel, why certain thing made you feel awkward or why certain things lead to success.
In the period of time you have it’s impossible to get past this superficial layer. But we function within an institution, so you have to present something that we can *beoordelen*.
